United Against Violence
Mil Mujeres is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 to address the growing need for bilingual legal services for the Latino community in the United States with an emphasis on helping survivors of violent crime, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and assault.
In the last fourteen years, we have helped more than five thousand people with our legal services and more than twenty thousand people with our information services throughout the national territory.
Elogio a la Resiliencia
This book is intended to empower the Hispanic community in the United States, especially those who lack immigration status and have suffered a violent situation. The book tells six different stories, through which education and information on benefits and protection alternatives for this population is provided. The entire sales of this work will be used to cover the expenses of those who suffer in silence and lack the economic resources to apply for an immigration benefit.
